The design of Move It!, driven by Physical Sciences educational objectives, combines fun kinesthetic experiences and classic physics concepts in ways that engage visitors of all ages. Families add their energy to the space, transforming the hall as they explore. Kids feel physics through full-body activities and see math and science in their own bodies as they play.
Like the human body itself, the Move It! exhibition feels like a living organism. Its interconnected systems and organic shapes are alive with constant movement. The color palette and environmental forms take cues from energy and visualized motion. Graphics and imagery connect physical science with physiology, and materials are inspired by the properties of movement (stretching, bouncing, flexing). Even the furniture is active—rocking, teetering and flexing.
